Cows and Calves Hit $1,570

396 head of cattle were yarded at our Beaudesert Store Sale on Saturday 26th October. The market improved for quality feeders and backgrounders. Competition was firm for lesser quality and condition weaners. Cows and calves were in demand.

Feeders Sell to $1,380

A yarding of 436 head of cattle came to hand at the Beaudesert Store Sale on Saturday 14th September.  The market remained firm for most descriptions.  Feeder steers were in demand with strong competition from both local and travelled buyers.  Cows and calves sold well, as did store cows.  Lines of weaner steers were in demand.

Market Remains Firm for Broadlands Dispersal Sale

Bartholomew & Co reported a yarding of 823 head of cattle at the Broadlands Dispersal Sale on Saturday, with quality lines of 12 to 15 month old heifers and pen after pen of store cows coming to hand. Strong competition was created from both local and travelled buyers. The store cows sold to $700 with strong support from volume buyers from the South. The lines of one-brand heifers created a lot of interest, selling to $615 with large numbers moving into the Brisbane Valley region. Steers were in demand, with Droughtmaster x steers 12 months selling up to $625 with keen interest from buyers from Wandoan and local areas.
