Strong competition was created from both local and travelled buyers. The store cows sold to $700 with strong support from volume buyers from the South. The lines of one-brand heifers created a lot of interest, selling to $615 with large numbers moving into the Brisbane Valley region. Steers were in demand, with Droughtmaster x steers 12 months selling up to $625 with keen interest from buyers from Wandoan and local areas.
